Bob Spetzler of Berlin won a 2007 Toyota Tundra from Central Maryland Toyota valued at $36,000 from the Maryland’s Harbor Tackle2007 Maryland Fishing Challenge. To be eligible for this contest, anyone weighing in a Maryland citation fish at an official weigh station qualified for a chance to win prizes in the amount of $60,000.00. Five finalists were selected from 128 contestants attending the drawing at Sandy Point State Park.

Mr. Spetzler’s 24.75 inch flounder caught at the 4th Street Bulkhead was weighted in at Harbor Tackle in West Ocean City. Joseph R. Davis, Jr. of Waldorf caught a 66.5 inch Wahoo at the Hot Dog catching him a Tracker boat, trailer and motor package from Bass Pro Shops valued at $20,000. Mike Mumford’s, of Mechanicsville, qualifying fish was a 23.5 inch Spanish mackerel taken off Cedar Point Hollow in the lower Bay. Walter Slotter of Quakertown, Pennsylvania qualified with a 300 plus pound blue marline at the Poor Man’s Canyon. Ray Elicker of Red Lion, Pennsylvania qualified with a 29 inch flounder caught in the Ocean City Inlet. The three won prize packages worth over $800.00 each from Bill’s Outdoor Center.
